What's your opinion?

Well, before Josiah lost his internet access we were planning on making a group story but it got put on hold because not only did he lose his internet but we got fairly inactive...

Anyway, I was wondering --since we're speeding up again-- if any of you would like to start up a group story. Suggestions on genres would be appreciated, maybe say if you'd like to do another KoA/KS one or maybe try something new. (Say LotR or DWT* or maybe just something we make up with any races we want.) So please, feel free to post your opinions or thoughts.

If we do want to make one then I'll start working on making character sheets and designing a small plot to start us off once we've agreed on what we want to do. (If we want to do it.)



*KoA= Knights of Arrethtrae, KS= Kingdom Series, LotR= Lord of the Rings, DWT= Door Within Trilogy.

Sounds fun! I like writing pretty much any kind of adventure or mystery and it seems likes everyone else likes adventure...

i would do anything!

right now i have the LoTR audio books on my MP3 player, and i also have all of the Chuck black books, so i would right any of the above...

Well, if it was a mystery, the plot would have to be far more complex, so I would definitely need help making up a plot. But I think a mystery would be really fun.

1. A mystery could be really fun. If two or three of us planned out the crime and some characters that were involved (only the plot would have to be very flexible because other people will making stuff up too) than everyone wrote part of the story for their own character...it would be a little like an RPG though.

2. The last time I know of Josiah being anywhere online was Jan. of this year. I've asked him if he'll stop by next time he gets internet via a different website so hopefully we'll see him again sometime.

Perhaps some Noir mystery, with some masked crime-fighters thrown in?

It's a style of fiction, based off old black and white gangster/crime/detective movies. Hardboiled detectives, people wearing trenchcoats, female fatalles, foggy city streets, murderous gangsters, etc.

Noir and KoA? The medeval-ish setting might get in the way but with enough creativity we could do it. So who is up for the job of planning the crime and stuff? Carliss, it was your idea to start this again, do you want to do it?

P.S. to all KoA members: this admins computer is not working. It took me about an hour just to load the forums this time so I probably won't be on again until the computer gets fixed...hopefully in about a week. Until then!

Fasttune: Well, it's like Daisy said, we haven't seen him for awhile. He contacted me in July but that was only a quick message and I haven't heard from him since. He might come back but we don't know for sure if he will or when.

i could help with organizing stuff (not crime, that would be bad) my mom said she was amazed i could just sit down and write a book without knowing where it is going (that rhymes!)

Speaking of the Mafia, the Noble Knights act very mafia-like in Kingdom's Edge, when they plot their murder of the Prince.

You all make good points about crossing over Noir with KoA. I think we could still have the KoA setting and just have certain elements of Noir put in.
