Inspector Mojack sits down at his favorite restaurant and orders a drink. A young man enters the room, tall with sandy blond hair, a deeply tanned face, and wearing an expensive new suit. He sits down next to Mojack and orders the most expensive meal on the menu.

"You sure you can afford that?" Mojack asks the man, who can't be older than 25.

"You bet! I just struck gold. Yes sir, got back from the desert yesterday, got five years of whiskers shaved off, bought the finest line of clothing and signed on with a realtor with the finest loft apartment in town.
